Hi, I’m Cary Moreno.
I was born and raised in St. Amant, Louisiana. I’m a husband, father, occupational therapist, and the hands behind Couyon Studio — where I build furniture and decor that are built to last for generations.
I didn’t grow up in a woodshop. In fact, I got started in 2018 with just a few hand tools, hauling them back and forth from the parking lot of our apartment. My wife was pregnant, and I figured we needed a proper bed before the baby arrived. I built that bed from scratch, and somewhere between the sawdust and frustration, I got hooked. The tools got bigger, the projects got bolder, and what started as a necessity quickly turned into a passion — now a growing business.
Since then, I’ve built custom furniture, tackled home remodels, and even built a remote cabin in the mountains of Montana with a buddy.
At Couyon Studio, I don’t just build to fill a room — I build to make a statement. I incorporate the golden ratio into my designs, select materials built to stand the test of time, and obsess over the details most people overlook. I believe great design should draw you in, great craftsmanship should earn your trust, and a truly great piece should outlive us all.
If you’re looking for something that stands out, sparks conversation, and feels like it was always meant to be in your space — that’s what I’m here for.
Lemme make you somethin’, Cher.
