Yes, either polyurethane, lacquer or shellac depending on the project. This is standard and included in the price for all projects.

Oak, walnut, ash, poplar, cypress and pine are my most frequently used species. If you have something else in mind, I’m sure one of the lumber distributors I work with will have it.

This depends on the project. Some smaller projects can take a couple days, while large projects can take several weeks. It also depends on the orders I have. I will be able to give you a time range when we design your piece. If you’re in a rush, I may be able to expedite the process for a fee.
-
Deposits will not be refunded because I will have already purchased materials needed for your piece.
I will reach out when I’m starting on your project, which is your last chance to back out. Once production as begun, full payment is expected.
-
It’s a definite maybe. I do offer rush orders for a fee but that depends on how soon you need the piece along with many other factors. I’ll work with you to do what I can without compromising quality, but I cant make any promises.

Every piece is made to order. That means you choose the size, style, and color. Keep in mind that every piece of wood is different. Every board takes stain slightly differently. I will disclose this during the ordering process. Please understand this is not something I have complete control over.

Warranty, Delivery, Product Variation & Communication
MY Warranty:
At Couyon Studio, I stand behind the craftsmanship of every piece. The warranty covers structural issues or defects directly related to how the piece was built—such as loose joints or instability.
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper handling—such as dropping, dragging, or damaging the finish. It also does not cover natural changes in solid wood due to exposure to extreme humidity, dryness, or temperature shifts.
Examples:
Warping, twisting, or cracking from environmental changes
Fading or discoloration due to prolonged sun exposure
Damage from spills, heat, or improper cleaning products
Wood is a material that will expand, contract, and develop character over time—that’s part of its beauty, and it’s something no builder can fully control.
